I'm Russ Walker, an independent children's author from Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

I discovered a love of writing children's stories later in life, inspired by my own children, the little moments of everyday family life and the wonderful places our imaginations can take us.

What started as a simple enjoyment of making up stories has grown into a collection of picture books filled with humour, warmth, adventure and a little bit of silliness.

I believe some of the best stories begin with the smallest ideas, and that reading together can create memories that last a lifetime.

There's nothing quite like seeing a child's face light up as a story unfolds, and that's what makes writing these books so special to me.
